So many things wrong with Nokia’s mobil…

So many things wrong with Nokia’s mobile application store launch. First, it is called Ovi Store. Ovi is Finnish for door. Door Store? Can I get a knob with that please? Second, it has 20,000 items. Not 20,000 applications, oh no. “Items” include “media files”, “mobisodes”, short videos and other unimaginable dross. Third, no U.S. carrier has signed up for the Door Store. I’m glad Nokia phones are going to get an easy way to install apps. but I do wish Nokia had kept it simple. The Apple App. Store already suffers from too many games. Ovi is going to suffer from mobisodes, short videos and god knows what else. §
