The “generosity” score on Twitalyzer (via @topgold) is a bit dodgy. If everyone was 100% generous by Twitalyzer metrics then Twitter would be one big echo chamber. I want original thought on Twitter more than I want retweets. §

One important thing I forgot to put into my personal budget was the €300 a month I pay for child-minding services (8 hours a day, 5 days a week.) It is €150 a week with Fi paying half. §

It took 3 people and a call to the help-desk to plug the power cord into a Microsoft Surface computer. Even worse, you have to use a keyboard and mouse to start it up the first time. §

Been using Ubuntu 9.04 for a few hours now and I am impressed. Even under VMWare on Mac OS X it is fast. Good selection of installed applications and the whole experience is slick and usable. Looks nice too, Microsoft should take tips from Ubuntu on how to make brown look good. If I can find an alternative for TextMate then I might just switch. §
