General Motors, Ford and Chrysler needs $30 billion from somewhere just to keep there doors open, never mind return to profitability. GM could close as soon as next year. 2.5 million jobs all told could go. The jobs are worth saving but the companies have to change dramatically, they cannot continue to operate as they are with an IV drip from the US government.

Thinking of building an online Enterprise Ireland Report generator, inspired by the Dilbert Mission Statement generator. Select your report, enter your project name, punch in some bullshit synergistic words and hit Go. I could charge €10 a report. Right… back to writing a real report… seriously. Fridays! Ugh.

I love the idea of internet connected digital picture frames, printers and other physical objects you can leave in grandma’s house and send stuff to. But $10 per device per month is crazy. Basic internet connectivity needs to become like the electricity or water supply; in every house and part of the plumbing.
