The Indo is “semantically tagging” all its content so that they can “proactively ‘propose’ relevant content to readers.” I hope, but doubt, this means a publicly available web-service that anyone can build off of. The NYTimes is doing a lot of web-service work and it just may pay off.

Ballmer’s arrogance is either his way of playing the game or he really means the things he says in which case he is blinding himself. He thought the iPhone was a joke when it came out. Now he thinks Android is not a threat. It is. Windows Mobile needs drastic improvements just to become competitive with the Android and iPhone experiences. A good mobile Windows OS would do very, very well with the vast desktop Windows base.
