Final Cut Express just arrived and it is freaking complicated. At least VoltaicHD now works (it requires either iMovie or Final Cut Express/Pro to be installed.)

SmugMug is offering SmugVault which can handle PSD and RAW files. Finally, someone did it. I wish Flickr would. I’ve love to associate my CRW and PSD files with the JPG on Flickr.

Most HDR photos really look odd to my eyes, not pleasant at all. It is a rare photographer who judges HDR properly.

I used to think loss-leaders were just losses until I became a Google junkie. Now I use GMail, Google Reader and Google Calendar which make Google no money but keep me sweet with what does make them money; advertising on searches. Sony losing $3billion on the PS3 may just be a halo, loss-leader. I have a HD Sony television afterall.

Nice improvements to Fluid. You can have links from say, Google Reader, open in your default browser and in the background. Finally makes it usable.

Scrnshots is a nifty screenshot hosting system. It includes a Mac and Windows tool that takes the screenshots and uploads for you. Better than using Flickr for screenshots.

Moo.com will soon offer normal-sized business cards. Good news as their printing is excellent and I’d love to do our business cards through them.

In its current form Twitter has no chance of becoming as widespread as email, SMS or voice. And in a form that could become that big it wouldn’t be Twitter anymore, it would be short message service over HTTP. SMS over HTTP.
