I have stayed away from using plugins for Rails authentication. Thanks to this Railscast though I see the error of my ways. restful_authentication is a lovely plugin.

Not sure how many MySpace users will go for this but at last Google Gears has something big behind it. Google Docs, Google Reader etc. are all feather-weights where MySpace is at the least a gorilla.
